I would like to extend my thanks to you both (Mark & Carl) for a smooth and totally hassle free purchase I made with you recently. I was on the hunt for my very first classic and from the first time I read your write up on-line I was captured, there were so many other B’s on-line but I kept returning to the stunning black one at Absolute Classics. Being an ex-pat living in Denmark I was relying on finding a car I could drive back and with Brexit looming just around the corner and not wanting to risk a no-deal scenario I took no chances as waiting could potentially cost me a whole lot more.
I contacted Mark at Absolute and told him of my plans, we agreed on a deposit and the car was taken off line for a week, so that I could make the necessary travel arrangements. I took a leap of faith and traveled to Lincolnshire and was picked up at the rail station in a lovely Jaguar. On arrival at Absolute Classics the black MGB was parked out in sun looking very sharp and after a tour of their other vehicles I could now have a good crawl around the B. It lived up to the description and was even better than I had expected, we struck a deal and Mark rushed off to the Post office to get the car taxed, before I began my trip home.
Mark and Carl had supplied me with some spare parts for roadside repairs and I set off towards Copenhagen, Mark thought i was bonkers! The weather was fantastic on the entire route and I could drive all the way with the top down. I drove down to London and spent the night with relatives, the day after I set course to Dover and drove up through France, Belgium, Holland and spent another night in Germany with more relatives. The next morning I pointed the B northward towards Denmark, kept at a steady pace throughout not wanting to stress the 40 year old vehicle too much and by late afternoon I arrived home in Denmark after covering over 1000 miles without a single hic-cup.
This car and the guys at Absolute have certainly lived up to my expectations, they go that extra mile for you, are trustworthy, and they keep their word and I would definitely recommend Absolute Classics to others who are contemplating purchasing a classic.
